Registration is now open for the Library Director Training Series webinar titled, The Basics of Public Purchasing, with special guest John Arthur, on June 25th at 1:00 for library directors and 7:00 pm for library trustees.
Participants will learn the basics of public purchasing in New Jersey, including an overview of NJ START, quote/bid thresholds, Pay to Play, state and national cooperative purchasing, and other related topics.
John Arthur is the borough administrator for the Borough of Garwood, NJ. He is the former director of the East Brunswick, Englewood, and Metuchen Public Libraries. He holds an MBA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and an MLIS from Rutgers. He is also a writer and musician. He is not a lawyer and none of what he presents on public purchasing should be constituted as legal advice.
